Where are your dishes made?
Athens, Georgia, U.S.A.
What are your dishes made of?
Our ceramics are hand-built from low-fire, red, earthenware clay, then hand-painted with nontoxic glazes.
How do you make your pieces?
Each piece is formed and glazed by hand. See our 'about' page for pictures of our process.
Are they durable?
Are your ceramics food safe?

Are your ceramics oven safe?
Are your ceramics microwave safe?
Microwaving is not recommended due to iron oxides naturally found in red clay. This can cause dishes to overheat in microwaves.
Are your ceramics dishwasher safe?
For the longest life for your dishes, we recommend hand-washing. HANDMADE=HANDWASH. If you do use a dishwasher, it is good to use a natural dish detergent and make sure all the settings are on low/gentle cycle.
How do I start picking out dishes?
Think about how you like to eat. Lots of cereals and soups? Try our cereal bowls. Snacker? Try our dessert, luncheon, or floralform salad plates. Regular appetites call for dinner plates and everything bowls. Peruse the gallery to get ideas for colors and combinations, or just cruise the shop section and click on plates, bowls, mugs or serving pieces, where you can see each piece in every color. You can always call us for color advice. We're experts on it.

Do you have color samples so I can see the colors before buying my dishes?

Do most people order one color or mix and match?
Most people mix and match. All of our colors work well with one another, so you can't go wrong.
How long will it take to receive my dishes once I order them?
Each piece is made to order so it usually takes 2-3 weeks, but can take longer during busy periods of the year. If you need your order sooner, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. It is well worth the wait!
Can you gift wrap?
