whew! it's hot down here. in the morning it's okay, but by one o'clock or so the heat really builds up and everyone starts to sweat. we drink plenty of cold water and just try to keep moving, r e a l s l o w. just keep moving is the ticket. it regualrly reaches 95 - 100 degrees in r. wood studio, but like we say, only the strong survive at r.wood.

everything's turning green now;all the trees and shrubs,and the pasture grass grows tall. time to cut the grass! time to put the crops in. it's summer temps here now, but no humidity,since we're in a dry phase,so it's really nice. the pollen is making us all dreamy and sleepy. i'm thinking about summer tomatoes and beans while i watch the iris bloom.

I guess we can officially say it's springtime down south. The daffodils, peach and pear trees are phasing out, and now the dogwoods, azaleas and wisteria are starting to swell and bloom.
